Indianapolis

Country: USA
Length: 4 216 m. / 2,620 miles
Corners: 13; R9; L4
Longest straight: 872 m. / 0,542 miles

MotoGP has run one race in the USA, but this is the first stateside trip for Moto2 and the 125s, for the third race at the famous “Brickyard”. The bikes loop round the infield before returning to sprint past the giant grandstands of the oval track.

Dunlop’s view:

The big issue is a mix of high-grip and low-grip – old stony surfaces and new asphalt. Some corners are banked, and in the new part some off-camber. It’s more a set-up than a tyre problem. They must cope with a broad range, but though it’s not particularly abrasive, wear rate is high.
